FT belatedly gets into the readers' snow pictures action with this photo sent in by Lorna Stroup Nilsson: "I thought I'd e-mail you a shot of our very own moai (Easter Island head) we built when trying to shovel the snow blocking our front door, and thought we should make something with it. We got a lot of snow in Devon - we live in Princetown, on Dartmoor, and the village was cut off for a couple of days." Making your own moai seems a rather foolhardy activity to FT, who hid indoors during the freakish weather fearing it as the herald of imminent apocalypse, but these Dartmoor dwellers are clearly made of sterner stuff...
