REV Dave Smith, 50, has set a world record for the most continuous boxing rounds.
The Anglican priest took on all-comers to complete 120 three-minute rounds, an amazing commitment best illustrated by the fact he faced 66 opponents in over six hours in the ring.
He’s well known in Australia, having written a book and appeared on numerous radio and television stations over the years. He is also black belt in martial arts. He is best known for his work with rehabilitating young people from drug and alcohol issues through boxing.
His latest enterprise raised over AUS$10,000 (€8,000) for the youth centre at the Holy Trinity Church in Dulwich Hill, Sydney. It brings a new meaning to the power of faith. |

The Chinese Grand Prix has just finished - what a brilliant race! (I won't give the results in case you want to watch the replay.)
But it was full on racing right to the end - no boring procession here! Even in the final laps the cars were almost as bunched as if they'd just started. Enjoy! |

Was the favourite purged at the last lap? |

Another game spoiled by a refereeing blunder:
Harry Redknapp says referee admitted Mata goal mistake
By Phil McNulty, Chief football writer at Wembley Stadium
Harry Redknapp has claimed referee Martin Atkinson admitted he made a mistake awarding Chelsea's second goal in their 5-1 FA Cup semi-final defeat of Tottenham - then insisted video technology must now be introduced.
Chelsea were leading 1-0 when Atkinson ruled that Juan Mata's 49th-minute shot had crossed the line despite furious protests from Spurs players insisting the ball had been blocked by Ledley King and Benoit Assou-Ekotto. Replays confirmed Mata's shot had not gone in.
etc...

When TV companies can produce replays, from many angles, within seconds, why the tardiness in introducing this back-up? It would delay the game much less than all the player protests when an error has occurred! |

I was sickened by the behaviour of some chelsea fans ruining the minutes silence, they are a disgrace to their team and the human race. |

I think it is only a matter of time before video technology is introduced.
But it will be complex to introduce, for example if every premiership and championship game requires it then thats 44 grounds that will need new facilities. |

Agree completely. The FA won't do anything though, despite it embarrassing the sport in front of a worldwide audience. |

Man U had a minutes silence for the italian footballer who died the weekend. That would have been better.
I think non-Liverpool fans are getting a bit tired of this long-in-the-tooth remembering of it. |

Steven Pienaar's late equaliser blew the Premier League title race wide open as Everton fought back to draw with Manchester United.
Coming after United had led 4-2, the result means Manchester City can draw level on points if they beat United at the Etihad Stadium on 30 April following a 2-0 victory over Wolves.

I think this belongs here. Good sport to return the ball.

A football swept away by last year's tsunami and found on a remote Alaskan island is to be returned after its teenage Japanese owner was identified.
Sixteen-year-old Misaki Murakami's name was written on the ball that was swept out to sea in March 2011.
David Baxter found it more than a year later on Alaska's Middleton Island, 70 miles (112km) from the mainland.
Mr Murakami told Japanese media he was sure the ball was his and would be happy to have it back.
"I'm very grateful as I've so far found nothing that I'd owned," he told broadcaster TBS on Sunday.
Mr Murakami lives in the town of Rikuzen-takata, which was very badly hit by the tsunami.
On the day of the disaster the school boy was at home sick, but fled to higher ground when the earthquake struck, Kyodo News reported. His home was then swept away.
The ball - given to him by his classmates in 2005 when he moved schools - was found by US man David Baxter on a beach in Middleton Island.
According to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Mr Baxter's Japanese wife translated the writing on the ball, which included a school name and a "good luck" message.
"This may be one of the first opportunities since the March 2011 tsunami that a remnant washed away from Japan has been identified and could actually be returned to its previous owner."
The couple reportedly plan to send back the ball to Mr Murakami. They also found a volleyball but have not been able to identify the owner.
NOAA has been monitoring floating debris from the tsunami over the past year.
The shrimping boat Ryou-Un Maru, which was traced to the Japanese island of Hokkaido, also drifted to Alaska.
The US Coast Guard sank the crewless ship, which was first spotted off the coast of the Canadian province of British Columbia on 23 March. |

Players aren't much better. John Terry's crimes are well-known, but Didier Drogba's performance against Barca last week was disgusting IMO.
Given the Muamba case recently and Morosini in Italy, the way he was rolling around in apparent agony after every slight tap or nudge was an insult. Considering we have seen players collapse to the turf and jerk around in genuine distress in the last month to see him doing it every five minutes before getting up and galloping off as if nothing had happened 30 seconds after the physio had come on and rubbed his boo-boo for him. Pathetic. |

And he's got himself sent off at the Nou Camp.
But, amazingly, at HT, the score is Barca 2, Chelsea 1
..so Chelsea lead on away goals!
At least it keeps up the pressure on the home team, so I'm keeping all my extremities crossed for the second half! |

WOW!!! (rynner uncrosses extremities)
Chelsea win!
FULL-TIME - Barcelona 2-2 Chelsea (agg 2-3)
And the final humiliation for Barca -
GOAL - Barcelona 2-2 Chelsea (Fernando Torres, agg 2-3)
Incredible. Absolutely incredible. That's what £50m buys you. Barca have sent everyone forward so when Chelsea punt the ball upfield, Fernando Torres collects it and runs in unchallenged on goal before rounding Victor Valdes and slotting home. The Blues are going to the Champions League final.
