Pravda. Nuff said.

Interesting how "Pravda" and "truth" were strangers during the days of the old Soviet Union, and they are still strangers in the new Russia. Wink

Following the political and social changes that took effect in Russia in 1991, an era of openness radically changed Russian Society. Amongst many of the changes that took place, some previously classified evidence (documents/video recordings etc.) regarding UFOs became available. The following reports are based on documented information included in this evidence.

See: The Russian Files

Just added - Actual video of MIG 21 in pursuit of cylindrical UFO.

It depends. Is the material relevant and free to view online? I have no objection to people posting links to relevant material that may be on there site as it helps expand the information we have and stimulate further debate. Obviously I think we'd all rather it went into a relevant thread but we don't have much on Ruskie UFOs so...

There are these threads:

Russian 'alien':

Chernobyl UFO

Old Russian UFO "doc"

(links all disabled due to merge - stu)

They have 4 or 5 posts in them and, if people were interested, I could break out the merging tongs to rummage together a "Soviet saucer" thread.

I agree that we don't have enough on Russian UFO's and this thread is a top idea. I don't mind what whyfiles2001 has to offer in terms of info, Im just not keen on being asked to go check it out on another forum. Other forums would just delete the thread and ban the guy.

There's an in depth dissing of it here .

I saw it too.

I saw this too and it was scary. Really impresive work. That link doesn't work but the TV series was The Secret KGB UFO Files (back when adding Files to something would guarantee sales):

www.imdb.com/title/tt0224072/

A Skeptical review:

And an impressive evaluation with plenty of screenshots:

There seems to have been a follow up:

The Secret KGB UFO Abduction Files

we see what we expect sometimes I think...

Interesting that the pro-authenticity reviewer SOUNDS sincere and convincing and that one criticism of the authenticity of the footage is that it doesn't match expectations amongst an American audience for what they "know" about UFOs.

Classic perception = reality stuff.

www.zamandayolculuk.com/cetinbal/kgbfiles.htm

Just looking at some of the pictures of the downed ufo on here, is it me or is it embedded in the ground in the wrong direction? ie it would have to have come through the tree its up against(?!) in order to hit the ground at that angle, also no impact signs on the surrounding mud..
Of course this amazing alien tech prolly has no trouble passing through trees..Not leaving craters... etc etc.

Maybe it popped up from beneath the ground.

Looks like a really big manhole cover to me.

Could it have been blown off a really big hole by some explosion of pressure or something?

Thats a big manhole, although it looks somewhat small and cramped for intergalatic/planetary excursions. Spect the Aliens got DVT and crashed, thatll teach em !!

It really looks like someone has built a twenty-foot model of the Enterprise, broken the saucer section in half then simply propped it up against some trees. That object is not imbedded in the ground by a massive impact, but just resting there.
