Eh, were I Alanis/God, I might consider popping in to Kerry Katona/Mc Fadden or Katie Holmes for half an hour.

One of the silliest phrases used:

"I'm a lesbian in a man's body!"

Strictly by definition and taking conventional sexuality as a context aren't all men lesbians in a man's body as they for the most part find women attractive? (and wear comfortable shoes)

Maybe a lesbian trapped in a man's body is attracted to women to such a degree that he wants to be one himself Question

I see that Breaking News has a link to Potty Training on Demonbuster

Worth bumping this old thread, for the Demonbuster site is huge with tips for ridding your life of its resident demons.

For instance: "BOYCE and BOICE are two demons that interfere with any electronic equipment, i.e., phone, computer, printer, automobile, etc. If something malfunctions, command these two demons to leave your equipment, in the name of Jesus. We get many emails saying this worked. If it does not work, demons are not causing the problem." Shocked

"We have had some experiences with women who have done a lot of prophesying in the church and to people. A friend of mine got into a position where she had words for people. At one point, she told her husband that he would die before the year was out. He did not die but was in good health. When her words began to fail, she asked me what should she do. I told her to come up to Lake Hamilton Bible Camp and we would all stone her. That was the prescription for making a false prophecy in the Bible." from a page devoted to beards and baldness:

Ah yes, these people. I first came across their website in 2000 or thereabouts; since then I've found a copy of the book which inspired them - Pigs in the Parlour by Frank and Ida Mae Hammond:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pigs-Parlour-Frank-D-Hammond/dp/1903725909

Basically, the Hammonds' theory was that you could cure all of a person's problems by casting out demons. If they have a cold, you cast out a demon named "Cold". If they're bad-tempered, you cast out a demon called "Anger". If they're gay, you cast out a demon called "Homosexuality". If they're atheists, you cast out a demon called "Atheism". And so on and so on.

The book is worryingly influential in certain quarters, spawning what is known as the "deliverance ministry" movement.

There's a forum dedicated to deliverance ministries run by one Jay Bartlett. Here's a typical posting from Jay:

Quote:
Just tonight Elizabeth and I dealt with 182 Zelda spirits (Zelda is a video game) within a young lady. In fact, he was holding unto the games she had played--Resident Evil, Warcraft I, II, III, Witchdrobe, D & D, and others.

These video games opens children (she started playing when she was 5 years old) to the demonic realm. It sickens me...

These were very violent demons and vicious but all 182 were driven out in the name of Jesus TONIGHT!!!

From one of Jay's followers:

Quote:
I also have had resident evil spirits cast out.

During the session where we tackled the stronghold of 'death & hell' (in me) we were led by the Holy Ghost into what we could figuratively consider a sub-section of this power (I guess the power of death & hell had rule over several strongholds as there were other strongmen under his command) and that was 'macarbe' spirits. Vampiric life draining spirits from vampire movies and games were present as well as the worst one which the Holy Ghost told us was called a 'zombie' spirit.

Somebody really needs to make a documentary about these people...

Yeah, but that might encourage them with the oxygen of publicity. Everyone knows the Westboro Church bigots now because so many TV shows and articles were dedicated to them.

One of the demons in the book is called "Using Logic".

No, I'm not joking.
