Latest FT (10 March issue)

I come from the Dagenham & Havering areas and havent seen the latest issue of Fortean Times. Is there a distribution problem for this area?

[Emp edit: Just to say you can find the details here:

http://tinyurl.com/kzhvl

so you can contact them directly and find out.]

If you want to find out if there are distribution problems in your area, the best person to contact is James Mangan, the (Seymour Ltd.) Circulation Manager listed in the FT masthead (beside the Editorial). You can ring him via the Seymour switchboard on 020-7396 8000.

Why not take out a subscription? Problem solved that way.

Yup, then you can get it delivered every month, and your partner can say "Oh God, not that shit geek magazine again? You're a geeky saddo! When are you going to start growing a beard?" Laughing

If you have a half-decent newsagent in the vicinity, they should be able to get it for you regularly.

I should also point out that Seymour Ltd has now moved office and James's new phone number is 020-7429 4058.

Non-UK queries should be directed to export.ops@seymour.co.uk

It could be worse, your partner could like the mag. I'm never the first to read my subscription copy.

Has WHSmiths stopped stocking the Fortean Times? My local branch hasn't had either of the last two issues in. And if you ask the staff about it they just reply with the time honoured "If it's not on the shelf, then we don't stock it". I'm loathe to subscribe or place an order for it as I like to check whether there's actually anything worth reading in it before I buy it.

I happened to be in Boarders the other day and they had it in men's interests!
I think on the board we are about a 50 50 split men and women.

With regards to WHSmiths Graylein I think they do still stock it but might have moved it to science. It might be worth working out though if by subscribing you save enough to cover the cost of a couple of issue you don't really fancy.

Smith's hilariously seem to stock it in a different section each month.

Most Newsagents here in Canberra seem to stock it. Often with the Science magazines, but then so are Beyond and Hard Evidence and other such publications. At least Nexus and New Age Codswallop Monthly are usually in another section.

In fact, I had a very brief conversation about FT in a newsagent yesterday. She was looking at the copy on the shelves (there was only one). When she put it down, my brother immediately picked it up (since he doesn't subscribe). Turned out she was comparing it to the copy her roommate just received in the mail to see if it was the same one. (It wasn't.)

That story had a point when I started. I wonder what it was?

WH Smith at Broughton Park, in North Wales, stock it, but rearrange the magazine section so frequently that it is a task in itself to find out where it is from one month to the next.

I notice that Tesco have started to stock FT again, it disappeared for a year or so and now it's back.

Smiths near me stock it but I oo have experienced difficulty guessing which section they've put it on. I once found it nestling among the Doctor Who comics.

You should put a free gift on the cover and then it'll have a proper section all of its own.
