If you zoom out a bit there seems to be a lot of roads or paths in the dirt leading right to it. |

Looks like a reservoir or well, and the paths leading to it are livestock tracks.
The faint line leading into it from the west, just north of the road and roughly parallel to it, is, according to this topographical map, an aqueduct (possibly dried up or seasonal) which connects it to the ranch at the road junction about five kilometres to the west of the feature (the Cedar Pipeline Ranch shown on the linked map).
If you click on the eastern arrows a few times you'll find the well marked. The track leading north at that point seems to have virtually disappeared, although if you follow both maps north you'll see that it is still just about there. |

It seems the Google Street View car caught some people...erm...rather enjoying themselves...on the Dukes highway outside the town of Keith, South Australia.

The (obscured) image can be seen here if you switch to Street View, and rotate until you see the BMW and the blur..
Someone from Reddit has uploaded the allegedly un-obscured version here (Potentially NSFW).
I suspect they saw the Street View car, and staged the whole thing. I'm not totally convinced they're actually...being intimate..., just trying to look like it. |

Some very curious pics there!
As regards the strange explosion, could it be an odd composite shot. The fusilage? and projection from it might be a close-up view of a cable and its attachment? It does seem to be coated in ash, though. There are plenty of telephone? lines in the lower part of the scene and I'm guessing the camera has auto-focus.  |

I think that's a pretty good explanation.
Or it could be an alien spaceship de-cloaking.  |
