That's got to be a bad sign.
I'm sure that half of what I think I learnt in a classroom was in fact picked up by accretion over the *gulp* considerable number of year since I left education, but the ignorance of youth still stuns me at times.
It is surprising how many younger people don't read/listen/watch any news whatsoever and can't name anybody in government apart from the Prime Minister. | 'Observation' as a tennet of a sound education is a thing of the past. The spectrum of interest in anything today seems to range from perusal to voyeurism. Shallow times ... as always.
re the blumpkin, see below for the glass bottom blumpkin emoticon theatre edition.
No ... neither do I. |

My state pension won't be available until I'm 66. I'm gutted.
As I'm going to be working for so many extra years I've decided to give up a couple of the voluntary jobs I do and spend the time on keeping fit instead. It's a shame, but I have to look after myself. I bet I'm not the only volunteer of a certain age who's thinking this way.
As for that list, all I can say is - Radio 2? NEVER!! |

By this list, my teenage son is ancient compared to me. But then, his favorite hobbies are learning Middle English and studying illuminated manuscripts, so he's not quite the typical teen. |

I'm old enough to remember when "Satisfaction" was #1, but I only got 11. Maybe because I'm in the U.S. and half of these don't even apply. Or maybe I'm just a really chill dude.

Reminds me of one of my old house mates who got a frantic call from his Gran, who was having some TV problems.
Every time she tried to press the red button for extra content, her TV switched off. |

My Mum and Dad's neighbour got a new telly a few months back. She still doesn't use the remote - doesn't know what it is. She's 90 and going a bit gaga. |
