To return to the One Shoe Mystery from the one sock oddity, I've recently noticed two shoes!
The pair is widely sepereted, just as though in a stride. This one defies easy explaination. Even given the local female population's fondness for going barefoot, why abandon your shoes?
To clarify, this was not a single instance, I noticed this several time in a brief period, about three weeks, and these were shoes, not flip-flop sandals.
Odd.

On the first day of house hunting, we went to a particular small village, we spoke to a couple of Estate agents and fell in love with the village and decided that was the place for us.
When I got home a searched for the village on twitter and found a twitter user who tweeted about the surrounding area. (A parody account taking on an infamous persona, like “The Queen” or “Dianainheaven” etc.)
I followed this person and immediately got a Direct Message from them saying something along the lines of “We don’t like Estate agents round these parts!!!”
I had never mentioned moving house on twitter, or that we were in anyway interested in that area. The only contact we have had was with the 2 estate agents that morning.
I can only assume that it was: A) a random message that was pure coincidence that it tied in with my experience of the place or B) that the twitter account was run by one of the estate agents! |

Surely you don't put your real name on Twitter? So how would an estate agent know who you were, online? |

Yes, that's true I have a very anonymous user name and my real name isn't listed on my profile either?? |

So, a few times last week I thought to myself "I hope I never loose this ring". And wouldn't you know it, between getting home on Friday night and waking up on Saturday morning I loose my ring. It's one of those coinkydinks you really don't want to happen.
I just hope it's found & soon! I even asked "them", out loud to return it! |

'Loose'? Oh right, it had to be loose in order for you to lose it... |

OK, strange and minor...
A few days ago, about three am, or so I thought, I shuffled into the kitchen to get a cold glass of cola from the fridge. Looked at the Atomic clock on the wall, a big Canadian railroad system model Marathon wall clock, and it read 3:18.
I have a similar clock over the throne, and it told me a different story-a second look at the kitchen clock had that off by several hours-pm, not am- and some minutes. I checked the one by my bed, and the toilet time was right.
Remembering that the kitchen clock uses 'C' cells, I figured the battery power was low, and made a mental note to get some.
Back to bed, slept like a stone for several hours, got up and started for the store. Then I looked at the clocks, and they agreed. AM, date, day.....all correct.
I'm puzzled. |

Today on my way into work, I spotted a pink paperclip on the ground and picked it up. No reason, I just did it. A few hours later I thought about it again and said to myself 'Why pick up a bloody pink paperclip? It wasn't even green!* I hate pink!'
Just then, at my feet, I saw, yes, a green paperclip.
What an exciting life I lead.

There's a lot of radio interference here, for example, I can't have a radio with automatic tuning, it just slides around the dial.
Radio is going to Hell these days, music stations are going to all talk formats, even NPR. I really miss All Things Considered and Prarie Home Companion.
Back on topic, the clock is still right-the inaccurate readout lasted for about three hours, it reset to right time with the next signal.
Odd? |

The clock thing happens with my Dad's clock. He has a clock that uses radio to set the time by an atomic clock somewhere.
Occasionally it goes 'off' and loses the correct time for a while, then corrects itself. It could just be that when it requires a signal via radio it isn't receiving it, and the onboard clock circuit isn't very accurate by itself. |

So, I'm at work and I visit the ladies toilets. I'm sitting there, cheaking my texts as nature takes its course and I feel a cat rub against my leg. I think nothing of it as I've got 3 cats at home that do that. Then it dawns on me that Im at work - There are no cats here. |

A few times today I have had the feeling of water dropping on my skin, on either my forearm or my face, but there hasn't actually been any water there.
I was thinking that I always get this sensation on days when there is thunder and lightening, even though I am indoors and nowhere near to an open window or door to feel "real" rain.
I have kept this to myself, but my 4 year old daughter has just said she keeps feeling raindrops on her face.
