I still have that siver ring I found at the bottom of a plastic bag a few Christmases ago. I went to all the stores I had shopped in and noone knew anything about it. I'd like to return it but have no idea how.
Maybe it was a swap for some other things that have gone missing over time. |

A neighbour, who knew I'd been looking for CD boxes (aka jewel boxes), told me he'd come across three in his flat, and said he'd put them in an envelope and drop them through my door.
Sure enough, last night, there they were.
But now they've disappeared! My place isn't very big, but I can't find them anywhere. Nothing in the rubbish, so I didn't accidentally throw them away. Not lying around in any of the places I usually park stuff.
I'm writing this in the hope that it may jog my memory, but nothing so far...
They're not valuable, but this is baffling! |

I had second thoughts on this later. Yesterday I did take out old letters, circulars and envelopes to the reycling bin - had I mistakenly thrown the envelopes with the CD boxes away?!
So I rummaged around the recycling bin, but no joy there.

So, what do pixies like to eat? |

Mmmmmm I was reading this thread, gently strumming my guitar, put my plectrum down, just here next to the keyboard and now its gone.
Not easily missed its bright lime green.
Anyway the wee folk or quantum singularities, please may I have it back.
Respectfully yours. |

Was visiting one of my friends today. I've written before about a few odd things that have happened while I've been there.
Anyway today we were sitting in the lounge chatting in chairs facing each other when I suddenly saw a bright white flash in the hallway. I heard my friend gasp and looked to see that she was looking scared.
She said" You saw it too didn't you?" and when I said "Yes" she said that it was the third time today, and that her partner had seen it as a glowing figure early this morning.
There's no way that reflected light from the street could be showing there and once before when I was there we saw these small grey flashes in the hallway that they had seen as figures.
My friend said these things usually come when something is going to happen in the family so we will have to wait and see I suppose. |

Plectrums are scary I must have bought literally hundreds over the years and I can never find one when I need one.
I think there must a special spatial dimension containing only plectrums and odd socks and they all go here the moment we take our eyes off them.
Given the repeat business I am considering opening a plectrum factory. |

I often pick up a plectrum and drop it in my pocket - in the street, at work, even on the lawn of Trinity College, Oxford. These musos must be terribly careless.
After floating around in my pockets for a while the plectrum will eventually disappear, presumably to join its mates on the great plectrum journey to plectrum Nirvana.
There should be dozens of them in my house by now but if I looked around I wouldn't find a single one. |

"My friend said these things usually come when something is going to happen in the family so we will have to wait and see I suppose."
Well it didn't take long. My friend just rang and said she'd been alerted by her elderly mother's medi alert alarm in the middle of the night. When they got there her mother had fallen so they had to attend to her and clean her up.
Also this morning her nephew had rung saying that his mother had been admitted to a psych ward voluntarily after another imaginary heart attack.
I find myself wondering if it's a warning from the spirit world or something produced because of a premonition.
The last things like this that I witnessed were with the grey things and the banging on the ceiling about the time her ex husband died. |
