Dennis Skinner was always good. When John Major rose to make his first speech as PM, Skinner shouted out: Resign! The place cracked up, especially Major. |

The Packet has corrected the 'Toby' Robinson story:
Time to meet historian Tony Robinson in Truro
11:00am Saturday 5th October 2013 in News .
Actor, author and historian is Sir Tony Robinson is coming to Truro to inspire people to investigate their family history.
Sir Tony, who found fame in comedy series Blackadder, has spent his latter years studying the history of the UK presenting programmes such as Time Team.

But they missed the picture caption, which still reads:
"Time to meet historian Toby Robinson in Truro"
Well, B is next to N on the keyboard! |

I guess this fits here:
Misprint swaps Bridget Jones and David Jason book text
A printing mix up led to early copies of the latest Bridget Jones book having a chunk of Sir David Jason's memoirs in the middle.
About 40 pages of Sir David's My Life were printed in Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, both of which came out on the same day.
"The printers have had a Bridget moment," said publishers Vintage.
It said it was recalling the misprinted copies and replacing them with correct versions.
"A printing error has been detected in some of the very early copies of Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy," said a Vintage spokesman.
"Copies printed on one day have given readers an accidental preview of David Jason's autobiography."
Both Fielding and Sir David's book were published on what the publishing world has dubbed "Super Thursday", when publishing houses put out some of their highest-priority titles for the Christmas market.

But this is a classic!
Vatican pulls papal medal which misspelt name of Jesus
The Vatican has withdrawn from sale 6,000 copies of a new papal medal on which the name of Jesus was misspelt.
In an inscription around the edge of the coin, Jesus was spelt with an L instead of a J.
Keen-eyed experts snapped up a handful of the coins, which were struck in gold, silver and bronze by the Italian mint, before the mistake was noticed.
Vatican coins and medals bearing the face of Pope Francis are bought by collectors all over the world.
A few collectors may make a fortune because of the scarcity value of the flawed medals, the BBC's David Willey reports from Rome.
New medals are struck when every new pope is elected and they provide a useful source of income for the Vatican, which is undergoing a major spending review under the leadership of Pope Francis, our correspondent says.
As news of the mistake travelled, social media users cracked jokes about this new religious figure, "Lesus" Christ. "I blame the Lesuits," went one tweet while another had "Let us prey Lesus".

After 2000 years, they still can't spell it correctly? |

| More recent reports claim a total of 4 'Lesus' medals were purchased before the Vatican recalled the lot. |

The Grauniad gets worse:
"Huge numbers of goats, cows and even camels will be slaughtered in Pakistani on Wednesday homes to mark the Islamic holy day of Eid al-Adha."
The first paragraph of this story. |
