So you don't think - in the propaganda war that exists between Al Q and the US - that Al Q wouldn't try to claw some points back by pointing out that OBL had died at some earlier time? Surely it would be a chance to point out the lies and propaganda of the 'crusaders'?

1. the chap killed was Bin Laden
2. That Bin Laden was even alive past 2004/2006 ?

But one wonders if that would actually be enough proof for some people. After all, corpses can seem dissimilar to the living person (especially if there are gunshot wounds to the head). (That said, when the Russians released photos of dead Chechen seperatist leaders, they were not widely questioned AFAIK). Others might also say that DNA evidence was fabricated. Not that I'm saying anyone here would have such views, just that from previous experience it's rather tricky proving anything to those of a conspiratorial bent. This is why I tend to hark back to the reasons why there have been no contradictory statments from OBL's supporters/successors claiming that either (a) OBL died at some earlier date or that (b) he wasn't killed in the recent US raid.

you could have a point Jerry some people will never be convinced, they have not been very helpful though with leaving some evidence un-shown that I think 99% would be happy with.
