You know that porn star name joke, where you take the name of your first pet and add it to your mother's maiden name to create a new name supposedly of a porn star?
Is that actually a way that criminals use to find out about details that could allow access to your bank account or some other private online service? Or just techno paranoia? |

Yeah, but was it a conscious decision on the part of evildoers to glean that information as part of their dastardly plans or purely a bit of a laugh that some read too much into? |

| Well from reading on another website, some TV-programme was out interviewing people in the street, and at the end as a "fun excercise" got them to give their pornstar names. The afterwards revealed to them just how much security information they had given out. I´m not sure I can find the mention again though, the website doesn´t have a search function. |
