| There was a story mentioned on here recently about raccoons being a problem in Germany, so maybe they've spread? Or maybe someone's not on the level? |

As the cold conditions hit, a couple arrived back from holiday to find one of the animals had climbed down the chimney and eaten all the food in their cupboards in Spessart, Hesse.
A raccoon chased off a cat after breaking in through its flap, eating a packet of biscuits and ripping up a cushion for a nest at a home in Kaiserslautern.
Goering ordered the release of a breeding pair of raccoons when he was the Third Reich’s chief forester in 1934, to give hunters something to shoot.
More got out in 1945 when an Allied bomb hit a farm where they were being reared for their pelts. |

As the second creature rose from the crouching position Arceneaux estimated the creature was about eight-foot tall. So he snapped a photo with his phone, he said.
“All of a sudden they started walking then running through the woods,” he said of the bipedal creatures. “When they began to run, the lady said ‘I’m leaving’ and left. I stayed a few more seconds and then thought there may be a way for them to cross here so I left, scared.”
Arceneaux said he could see the face of the creature “clear as day.” There was hair from the mouth down like a man and when the creature turned he could see hair hanging down its arm. |

A friend of mine lives in Pennsylvania and saw this as she called her dogs in. She was scared, because it didnt run off. She has 2 big black Chows. We think she saw a baby sasquatch. And that is what she thinks also, because she has never seen anything like this. She knows what a bear looks like, and she said it looked like a little gorilla. – Polly
The gangly beast does’t seem to fit the profile of other Bigfoot snapshots, so many commenters have taken to referring to it as a “troll”.
My first thought, and maybe I play way too many video games, is that the beast looks an awful lot like one of the Grunt’s from Halo. Someone get Master Chief on the the line. |

Even the "it didn't walk like a bear" statement is from someone that's probably not seen to many without their fur coats that disguise the movement of the underlying limbs. |

What about some sort of escaped exotic pet that someone wasn't supposed to have, and so never reported missing? Like something along the lines of a big chimp, or something? |

Yes, it looks just like all the juvenile sasquatches I've ever seen.  Sorry, I just find that statement hilarious.

Where did they find a jury that was offered those two choices and haven't returned a verdict?
The only reason I don't immediately think "bear" when I see these two Pennsylvanian beasties is because of the hunched form. They do look to be the same thing. The bear with mange picture didn't really look like either. I'd also offer the option of an escaped primate. Otherwise, if we assume this is an unknown animal, it seems to me in six years we've got clearer evidence of the existence of a primarily quadrupedal cryptid in Pennsylvania than we've obtained for bigfoot in many decades. |

Oh, I dunno - you shave a bear and it looks really bizarre, as in the picture above. Depending on the posture/gait at the time, I can quite believe the hunched form as a bear. |

Hikers capture 'bigfoot' on film
Hikers in Canada have filmed what crypto-zoologists are hoping is evidence of the existence of the Sasquatch.

A hiking couple have claimed that new footage they shot while walking in the Canadian wilderness shows the legendary bigfoot. The claim is the latest in a long series of reported sightings in Canada over the past few years.
The video, allegedly shot in Mission, British Columbia, shows a large, gangling figure possibly covered in black hair, loping over a forest hilltop.
Although filmed from a distance, it is possible to make out the figure emerging from behind a tree. It is visible for around 20 seconds, before appearing to punch a few leaves out of the way and disappearing out of sight.
According to crypto-zoology website 'Legend Tracker', the couple were on a hiking holiday when they spotted the mythical creature in the distance and began to film.
The tantalising footage has left bigfoot believers hoping that experts can examine it and therefore prove that the legendary ape-like sasquatch does indeed live in the forests of North America.
At the beginning of July, Texas veterinarian Melba Ketchum claimed to have proved the existence of sasquatch with DNA evidence, however, the 'sample' she provided turned out to contain mostly opossum DNA, mixed in with markers from other animals.
Sasquatch is a Native American term meaning “hairy giant”. Footage filmed in Mantitoba in 2005 appeared to show a large apelike creature, although it was too grainy to be conclusive
