A man with a cow slurry fetish who threatened to kill a farmer who banned him from his land is to undergo a new psychiatric assessment, a judge ruled.
David Truscott, 43, was remanded to Langdon Hospital in Dawlish, Devon, in May after admitting threatening to kill the Cornish family on whose farm he rolled naked in animal muck.
At Exeter Crown Court, Judge Francis Gilbert issued a new interim hospital order for 12 weeks to assess Truscott.
It could be extended, the judge added.
As well as making threats to kill, Truscott also admitted threatening to destroy Woodbury House Farm, near Redruth.
Truscott had been jailed twice previously, in 2009 and 2011, for breaching a restraining order and rolling in slurry on the farm, the court heard when he was detained.
The judge criticised him for his "bizarre fetish and disgusting behaviour".
Truscott will be treated in the newly-opened £27m Dewnans Centre at the hospital in Dawlish. |

The medical emergency was so rare the team of three doctors published the case in The International Journal of Surgery last month.
The paper, titled "An Unusual Urethral Foreign Body", said it was rare to see objects lodged in the lower urinary tract.
It went on to list strange objects found inside other parts of the body, including needles, pencils, wire, allen keys, toothbrushes, light bulbs, thermometers, plants and vegetables, leeches, snakes, cocaine and glue. 
"It is apparent that the human mind is uninhibited let alone creative," the authors wrote.

John Earl Eutzy, 37, is accused of taking himself for a spin outside a convenience store in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., the North West Florida Daily News reported. And no, it was not a Kum & Go.
Police say Eutzy was standing outside the store Tuesday when he unzipped his pants and began masturbating. When he started, he was facing the store, but then rotated his body so that he was facing the road, then turned back towards the store. According to the NWF Daily News, Eutzy "changed his position several times."
Deputies also noted that a witness had to escort a woman and frightened child to their car.
Eutzy, who authorities say was intoxicated, was charged with lewd or lascivious exhibition.
Apparently convenience stores are especially convenient for picking up a public masturbation charge. In February, police said a man caught masturbating outside of a Pennsylvania convenience store told them his penis was only out because his pants had shrunk.
An even more convenient place to get arrested for public masturbation is right at the police office. Darrell Moore allegedly demonstrated this in July, when Omaha cops say he waltzed into police headquarters, claimed he witnessed a murder, then promptly began masturbating. |

Man spotted acting indecently on Devon bus
2:11pm Wednesday 28th August 2013 in News
Police have released images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with indecency offences in the Torrington and Barnstaple areas.
The man (pictured) is sought following reported offences while travelling on a bus on two separate occasions.
The Torrington offence took place on the number 71 on bus Friday, 2 August in the Langtree area between 5.10pm and 6.10pm whilst travelling between Barnstaple and Holsworthy.
The Barnstaple offence took place on the number 21 bus on Monday 12 August between 7.25 and 7.50pm whilst travelling between Barnstaple and Westward Ho!
Police are appealing for witnesses to the two incidents. Anyone who recognises the man is asked to please call police on 101 quoting crime ref. CT/13/447
