| It's a bit early to assume it's not happening. They usually don't finalise until later, and when we're hard up for cheap airfares from Australia. |

| I work for an organisation that runs a conference of a similar scale (though not quite as fun!) and we start preparing for it (site visits, initial contact with speakers) around 6 months in advance, so I think we'd have heard by now. Happy to be proven wrong... |

I'm taking a chance on it and will be calculating the most likely weekend to turn up. I'll book Escette and myself into the usual rammy hotel and get the beers in. If nobody else turns up, I'm sure we'll find something interesting to do.  |

Since there's no announcement (YET!) about the UnCon, my guess it isn't happening. Pity, as it being the fortieth anniversary year, we could have had a retrospective UnCon - hopefully the 40th anniversary issue in November will blow our minds! |
