A few English language glitches in there ("awhile" should be "a while", and you've mis-spelled 'chutzpah', for example), but that's just the tedious pedant in me coming out.
Interesting piece. You ought to accompany them on one of their expeditions and follow up a case -- I for one would be interested to read the results.
Incidentally:
