Perhaps I'm cynical, but I reckon the ghost-hunting story was his cover and he had his suspicions and actually set out to see what his girlfriend was up to. Possibly he said he was ghost-hunting so that he could evade anti-voyeurism laws.
(Caveat: I have no idea whether there are in fact anti-voyeurism laws in that part of the world).
Like I say, perhaps I'm cynical. |
