| Quote: | | As Final Cut rendered the footage (it was a different frame rate to the rest of the timeline) it played the clip back much slower than real-time and I noticed a strange light in the corner of the frame near the end of the clip. Assuming it was a reflection in the window I went back through the clip - there was no reflection in the glass. I went through the clip frame by frame till I was convinced that it was indeed a fast moving light across the skyline at sunset. But what was it? |

| It's either a bird falling out of the sky, or it's a tiny meteor falling close by. |

The light seems to move just a little too fast for a meteor, although I suppose it could be a particularly fast one from the outer solar system or something.
If it is a reflection, it is a reflection of something behind the camera - either inside the bus, or outside the bus on the opposite side to the window. Was this filmed through the front windows of the bus? If so the angle of the glass in the front is important.
A modern bus in London has quite a significant slope and curvature on the front windows; Modern London bus
if a light from a mobile phone or a streetlamp somewhere behind the camera was reflected in this sloping or curved glass, it might look very strange (and move surprisingly quickly). It could also be a secondary reflection - reflected off a window or other shiny object behind the camera. In which case it would be very difficult to identify. |
