Looks like a hairless strain of the Gambian pouched rat to me.

The creature's head looks too large for that. The rat's head looks relatively small in comparison.

The photo originated with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.

It is indeed a hairless squirrel. A follow-up photo from ODWC showing the animal from the front is posted on their Facebook page:
