I'm not a great believer in astrology, but I do find the idea of astrocartography interesting, even if it's just for fun. It basically lays out your horoscope over a map and shows planetary influences and how they may affect the traveler in different places. It's pretty neat.
There is a free interactive map here:
http://www.astro.com/cgi/aclch.cgi?btyp=acm&
Click the link on the page, type in the date, time and place of birth and follow the instructions to view the map of your choice. You can click the different lines and intersections on the map for more information.
According to this map, the places I would be happiest are Tibet and Goose Bay, Canada, and the node that would denote the most financial and business success in all the way over in Egypt. So that explains a lot. |

I love astrology while at the same time believing it to be twaddle.*
I've just loaded up this map and am finding my way around it. Looks complicated, but as a dogged and methodical Virgo I will soon get my head round it.
*My reasoning is as follows: as people who believe in astrology pick out the flattering bits to live up to, their character appears to match their star sign.
Example: my older sister had a tattoo done years ago. I naturally asked to see it, as she was dying for me to, but because it was a little inaccessible she refused. I said 'OK then, if I can guess what it is will you tell me?'
She laughed and agreed. I correctly guessed that it was a scorpion. She was taken aback, but I explained that as she is a Scorpio she would be proud of scorpions and would naturally choose that design.
Sis said 'But you don't believe in astrology!' 'Well, no,' I said, 'but I know that YOU do!'

If I'd ever had a tattoo done, it might have been a scorpion.
Not because it's my birth sign but because I used to sail a Scorpion class dinghy, many moons ago... |
