| Normally the ads don't bother me, but over the past two or three weeks I've noticed a survey jump out on the forum unbidden. Doesn't happen often, but it is annoying, has anyone else seen this? |

| Could we persuade the FTMB to get rid of it, maybe? It's a shame surveys have turned into a really cynical method of advertising now. |

| Problem is we don't put them there. Dennis own the umbrella site, and what they decide can be incorporated (surveys, pop-ups, very intrusive personal profile fields) is completely out of our hands. This goes for all the various site-related glitches, etc. Sorry. |

Do you mean the 'Personality Test' one?
I've often thought that there must be a particular way of answering those questionaires that indicates to their expert survey inspectors (not, of course, analysts - oh, no, no) that their endeavour has irreversibly engaged with a raving psychopath with an unhealthy interest in the address of their offices. |

| I suppose you could wind them up, but it would be more trouble than it's worth, especially as internet advertising has become so reptilian over recent years. |

If you're using Firefox, or some variation thereof, have you tried the, NoScript add-on?
It comes as standard with some distros (i.e. IceWeasel) and allows you to control javascript pop-ups and the like, on the web pages you visit.
Might come in handy. |

| IE here. Actually, since I mentioned it, it hasn't happened at all - maybe someone saw sense? |
