| Luneberg Heath was where Heinrich Himmler's body was taken in the middle of the night and buried in an unmarked grave. |

As I understand it, this "Hollywood" archetype witch is a pop culture fabrication, a cartoonish portrayal of witches with little basis in reality. So assuming Madseller and Plusky aren't just BS-ing us all, what's going on here? Since I don't believe in the likelihood of shared hallucinations is this some trickster entity that gets its jollies from scaring the **** out of kids by appearing in a form they'll identify as scary??
Edit I meant "shared" hallucinations |
I know what it sounds like - and NO I am no BSing anyone. We saw what we saw. |

I recall reading a near identical story on the board or in the mag, with the possible difference that the witch spoke to the two boys to warn them against mischief-making in graveyards.
My opinion then as now is that this is some sort of entity or tulpa-like thought-form. |
No - I haven't posted this before. Sorry about my delay in responding - had forgotten I had posted this. |

this cauldron is in danger of turning the whole tale into a crock |
I know...............it sounds like something out of a poor horror movie. But I swear - its what we saw. Or thought we saw. It is a long time ago - and as others have said the mind can play tricks but I remember the cauldron, the steam coming off the top, the cat, the hat, the horrible laugh. If someone were telling me I wouldnt believe them either hence why I can say it on here - its anonymous. |

| This is reminding me of those anecdotes where people claim to have actually seen Santa Claus on Christmas Eve - doesn't make sense to the rational mind, but from a folkloric perspective, why not? |
