Years ago, when Mrs N was working on A&E, they had a bloke who'd appear regularly with jars, milk bottles, etc up his jacksie. One sleety December he sidled in with a full jar of Roberston's Mincemeat up there. When asked, he replied (and I'm honestly not making this up):
"Well, it's Christmas, innit?" |
