| No it wouldn't be; with those vertebrae, which from some angles look very like the scales on a croc's tale, it's a mammal. |

| Yeah if the ships crew couldn't discern it as a whale, they wouldn't have just left it. Even the most absolute hard-headed laymen knows the concept of a "sea monster" or whatever local name it might have. |
