Probably just another name for a gun nut. Laughing

However, it was a cat specially bred not to look like a domestic cat.

A 'Savannah cat, a cross between a domestic cat and a serval.

Wild looking, reportedly as big as a Doberman, weighing 25 to 30lbs, and running feral. It was frightening the neighbours:

As the expert says, it depends on how far back in their breeding they are as to how tame they can be.

That sounds like some pretty serious exaggeration to me.

Hybrid cats are certainly stocky but I don't think anywhere near that size.

You're right, it is an exaggeration - Dobermans weigh at least 3 times as much, being 75-90 pounds.
