| There are one or more threads on the FTMB discussing the _Cyclops_ disappearance. There were multiple factors that could have contributed to the ship's sudden loss without invoking a giant octopus no one has ever reported. |

| Giant octopi wete once blamed for a fleet of Spannish ships that vanished. They actualy got hit by a hurricane. |
