Hi there,
Hope somebody can help as I'm trying to find out about a ghost report I heard many years ago. The report goes that on the first floor of the University Arms Hotel there are ghostly dogs said to be present. Also the dogs faces are in the wood grain of the doors of that particular section. (I've seen these so I know that's true.)
Also there are reports of an old lady who stands in the old lift reading the menu.
Any help on these would be gratefully received.

I've just referred to my 'Haunted Pub Guide', Ninja, but it's not in there, sorry! Those dogs' faces in the wood grain sound interesting!

I've just looked the Univ Arms up on the web, and can't find any mention of ghosts, although in the 'facilities' section it does say, 'Dogs welcome by arrangement"!

| It's not something I think they want to advertise. I only found out about it when working there (my sister who also worked there told me about it.) |

My brother was a breakfest chef it that hotel for about 6 months and he never mensioned hauntings. He loves a ghost story so I'll pass this one on to him.
If you want a haunted pub then the Globe on East Road has a ghost. I know a amn who used to be the landlord and he told me about seeing a figure walk across the floor after closing and disapear where there used to be a wall. The same ghost (?) also spied on his sister in the bath. Well even ghosts need a sexual thrill... |

Hoping to go to York for the weekend and stay in a haunted hotel. Having trouble finding one that advertises their 'extra' guests.
Can anybody recommend a good but creepy hotel?
Thanks |

Bump! I've merged 2 Haunted Hotel threads here, and moved it into Ghosts.
There is also another one in IHTM, but the MB doesn't allow those to be merged. |
