I Googled for the Lingerie Barbie, not realising that there have actually been several and that the only remarkable thing about the latest is that it's African-American.

There was a case reported this month of a woman who was marketing a Bondage Barbi who was found innocent of infringing the intellectual property rights of Matel.

Barbie Joke (you've all heard it, no doubt)

Bloke goes to buy a Barbie Doll for his daughter for Xmas. Asks the toyshop owner how much they cost.

"Basic Barbie, doll and costume, £20. Barbie and Ken, two dolls and costumes, £35.00, Malibu Barbie with VW Van and Surfboard, £40. Divorce Barbie £375."

"£375???" says the bloke?

"Yeah: you get Barbie, Ken's house, Ken's car..."
