In some Korean metaphors to call a woman a horse is like calling a woman 'a fox' in English. 'Horse-like lady' sounds slightly absurd in English, but it's a result of the the way that many Asian languages pile up adjectives around a noun and then have them translated literally to English. If we had the metaphor, we'd probably have her as a 'horsey lady' - eat your heart out, Hendrix. |
