This is an interesting little book, with all sorts of “secret” places in the USA arranged alphabetically be state. Each entry has a description, some history, any interesting “Fortean” (in particular UFO) related stories relating to it, a schematic map (with scaling information) with a guide how to get there and advice as to whether visitors are welcome or not. If you're very lucky there'll be a photo as well, but generally there isn't.

All the usual suspects get a mention in here, from HAARP in Alaska, through the inevitable Area 51 and Edwards, Wright-Patterson and Nellis Air Force Bases to less well-known sites such as US communications surveillance HQs, chemical warfare dumps and nuclear testing and disposal facilities, “Continuity of Government” underground bunkers and so forth.
