It must say something about the current horror climate that we turn to a film about an escaped psychopathic kiddy-fiddler who takes revenge on the jury who put him away by cutting off their faces while they’re still alive with a measure of relief at such quaint, old fashioned hi-jinks. Twelve really does come across as good clean fun, though, with its bright Nevada locations, amiable performances (including Buffy’s Mercedes McNab) and tried-and-tested stalk ’n’ slash plot. Don’t expect anything remotely novel, but it’s a reasonable way to pass 80 minutes.
