As Lego Star Wars ended up being not just the best Star Wars game, but simply one of the most enjoyable games ever, it was inevitable the idea would be expanded to other franchises. We’ve had Batman and there’s a Harry Potter version in the pipeline, as well as this second run for the Indy one.
The previous game was good, but not in the same league as the Star Wars version. However, this time around things are a lot better. It follows the same template as its predecessors, with levels based on scenes from the movies, unlockable characters and vehicles; and collecting silver, gold and precious blue lego pieces is the order of the day. And as before the cut scenes are all on the right side of cute and very funny.
As well as all new levels based on the original trilogy, we have a Crystal Skull game to work through too. Most impressive though, is the sheer size of the game. The between-level sections are utterly massive, and the touch of having to complete puzzles to find the entrance to next level is a wonderful one.
