Cave of Forgotten Dreams

Herzog's 3D exploration of the Chauvet caves

Since being discovered in 1994, the Chauvet cave paintings - the earliest we know about - have been seen in person by only a handful of researchers. Now they're to be revealed to the world in Cave of Forgotten Dreams, Werner Herzog's 3D journey through the breathtaking caverns, in which he films the paintings and asks what they might have to say about man's place in the world.

Cave of Forgotten Dreams is on UK release from 25 March
