2 Dec  Cane Toads: An Unnatural History
A screening of a short film shot in the Australian outback in the 1980s, in which a cast of small-town eccentrics talk about the impact of the huge, out of control cane toad, originally introduced to eradicate pests from sugarcane crops. Followed by a panel discussion on the complexities of 'invasive' and 'native' species.

Documentary film maker Zoe Young has been visiting the 'witch camps' of Northern Ghana, which offer refuge to thousands of (mainly) elderly female survivors of witch hunts. At this event, she'll discuss the witch craze and show extracts from her documentary.
