To celebrate the upcoming release of a remastered version of the classic 1971 Mario Bava (Macabre, Demons) horror Bay of Blood (aka Carnage, Twitch of the Death Nerve, Blood Bath), TBH films are providing a 'for-fun' free public preview at the Alibi, Dalston, London, on Monday 16 August.
A low-budget slasher of the highest order, Bay of Blood utilises excellent FX and imaginative ultra-violence in a manner which has influenced every entry in the genre since, leading Total Film to dub it in 2005 one of the 50 greatest horror films of all time. A short clip from the film can be found on YouTube.
This screening is part of The Alibi's weekly film club, where every Monday a licensed classic is screened for absolutely free.
For more information, head over to the screening's Facebook event page or The Alibi's website.
Monday 16 August. 8pm-2am (film starts at 9.15pm). The Alibi, 91 Kingsland Road, E8 2PB. Free entry.
