Details of the Grant Museum's winter programme is now up on their website. Fortean highlights listed below.
At 6.30pm on Tuesday 15 September there's a free big screen showing of seminal monster movie Frankenstein (1931), starring Boris Karloff. Dr Joe Cain, historian of science at UCL, will introduce the film, and there'll be a complimentary glass of wine in a private view of the museum after the screening.
The Grant Museum, with all its skeletons and skulls, rather lends itself to the celebration of Halloween. Witches and Lizards (5.30pm-8pm, Saturday 31 October) is a night exploring the role of animals in scare-stories, rituals and superstitions around the world.
